Inspired by the concept of chakras, Introspection uses the method of long exposure photography to capture images that aim to show the unseen energy that surrounds and consumes us, energy that can be cleansed in order to help repair the mind, the body and the spirit. The colours indicate the energy associated with a particular chakra; red for fear and self-doubt that blocks the root chakra at the base of the spine and ties us to our unhealthy habits, green for healing the heart chakra, relieving trauma that is the cause of suffering, and violet for the crown chakra, located at the top of the head, that when opened brings the peace and clarity of surrender, forgiveness and letting go; the ultimate enlightenment.
The power of the mind is beyond measure; just as it can lead us down a path of self-sabotage and personal destruction, so can it pull us out of darkness and guide us to true happiness. That power lives within all of us.
